Small Vacation and a Trip to the Zoo

As I sit at my desk at work on a Wednesday afternoon...I can't help to think about how much stuff I have to do. I just finished fixing a problem...only to be assigned 6 more during the time it took me to complete the initial one. Again...it was only wednesday. The last few days before i was taking some time off really wore me out...taking on responsibility of another person really does wear you out...as well as appreciate your fellow co-workers for being at work. Friday rolls around and I still have a ton of stuff to do...but I can only look forward to the weekend ahead. It was my first real paid vacation..time away from the office...time to spend by myself and a very special person.
As the weekend went by I remember it well because I had a great time hanging out with the new misses. The 4th of July was drawing near and we both spent time with each others family's shooting off fireworks and eating. Good Times. Wednesday proved to be a very fun day...minus the lack of sleep...but fun to say the least. This was the first time i had been to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE since i was in the sixth grade. My wonderful girlfriend and I had decided that we needed to goto the zoo and had been planning it for quite some time. Since i was taking off of work...just made sense to make the 2 hour drive and see some of the cool zoo animals. The temperature was just right and the whole experience was just great. Thanks to a very wonderful person my day was something I wouldn't forget. Thanks Megan.
