A Helping Hand...

Today, the organization that I work for put together a project where a few of us from each department go out and help in our Local Habitat for Humanity. Our assignment was to help rebuild a local family's house that was recently burned down in a fire. I have to say this was one of the best things that I have seen a bunch of people do. We had to build 4 walls for this new home so we started off with the frames, then moved on to placing plywood on the outsides, to lifting and setting the wall in place. In the short amount of time a group of 10 people did, we managed to build and set 4 walls in practically 4 hours time. Really an amazing feat and a great thing to do for a local community family. Honestly I would like to see many businesses have days where they can get out and help the community out. The small amount of time that we put forth will go a long ways in the lives of others. Attached are a few of the photos from our voluntary event today. More info here: http://www.habitat.org/
